Case Study - Co Louth: A Hidden Treasure

Architect: Barney McKevitt

Contractor: Eugene Duffy Construction Ltd

The developer and builder on this speculative new build project came to Window Crafters in search of a window which would add a further touch of class to this impressive project, set amongst the forests of Ravensdale, Co. Louth.

The project architect had not only designed 2 dimensional plans for this home but utilised 3 dimensional graphic imagery to create the finished visual impression required for this building. This included traditional Georgian style, black, sliding sash windows and doors to the house and sunroom. Marvin's Ebony aluminium clad windows were the ideal choice, being finely machined to imitate a painted wood finish, while eliminating time-consuming and costly exterior painting. The colour was ideal against the backdrop of the grey stone and granite surrounds. The natural wood interior was painted white to blend with the interior décor and joinery.

Marvin windows and doors were chosen for this high specification project for which only the finest building materials were acceptable.
